THE INFLUENCE OF SCHOOL PRINCIPALS' GUIDANCE AND SUPERVISION PATTERNS ON IMPROVING DISCIPLINE OF PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN BINJAI CITY

This research aims to determine the influence of school principals' coaching and supervision patterns on improving the discipline of state elementary school teachers in Binjai City. As for the results of this research, the first hypothesis is accepted,variablePrincipal Leadership(X1) has a significant effecton the Teacher Performance variable (Y). The second hypothesis is accepted,variablePrincipal Supervision(X2) has a significant effecton the Teacher Discipline variable (Y). The third hypothesis is accepted, Guidance Patterns (X1) and Principal Supervision (X2) have a significant effect together (simultaneously) on the Teacher Discipline variable (Y). The program for fostering discipline in students has been implemented well, namely by teachers setting an example for students, with teachers having to come to school on time so that students also get used to coming to school on time. The process of implementing the principal's supervision in improving teacher discipline has been effective. It is hoped that the principal will maintain firmness in carrying out supervision in order to further improve the discipline of teachers and staff.
