THE INFLUENCE OF CURRICULUM UNDERSTANDING, WORK MOTIVATION AND PRINCIPAL LEADERSHIP ON THE PERFORMANCE OF STATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS IN LANGKAT REGENCY

This research aims to determine the influence of understanding the curriculum, work motivation and leadership of school principals on the performance of state junior high school teachers in Langkat Regency. As for the results of this research, the first hypothesis is accepted,variable Curriculum Understanding (X1)significant effecton the Teacher Performance variable (Y). The second hypothesis is rejected,variableWork motivation(X2) has no significant effecton the Teacher Performance variable (Y). The third hypothesis is accepted,variablePrincipal Leadership (X3)significant effecton the Teacher Performance variable (Y). The fourth hypothesis is accepted, Curriculum Understanding (X1), Work Motivation (X2) and Principal Leadership (X3) have a significant effect together (simultaneously) on the Teacher Performance variable (Y). For school principals to routinely carry out monitoring regarding the implementation of the Curriculum so that they can make improvements if there are discrepancies with government regulations and the implementation of the Curriculum can run optimally. School principals must realize that work motivation, especially the urge to do something, has a significant contribution in influencing teacher performance. This is necessary to increase teacher work motivation which can change teacher performance for the better.
